Privacy Policy
StockManTools ("we", "our", or "us") is a free stock analysis tool. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it. We keep things simple: we only collect what is necessary to make the product work, we never sell your data, and we never share it with third parties.
1. Data We Collect
Account data (only if you sign in with Google)
We use Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0) to authenticate users. When you choose to sign in, we receive and store your Google account email address and display name solely to identify your account across sessions.
We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, or any other Google services. We do not share your Google account information with any third parties. You can revoke StockManTools' access to your Google account at any time by visiting myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Portfolio and watchlist data (only if you sign in)
Any stock symbols, share quantities, purchase prices, or watchlist entries you manually enter are stored and linked to your account so you can access them on return visits. You own this data entirely.
Anonymous usage analytics
We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled. This collects aggregate, non-identifiable data such as page views and session duration. No personally identifiable information is included. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
What we do NOT collect
We do not collect payment information, financial transaction data, government IDs, or any sensitive personal data. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
2. How We Use Your Data
· To authenticate your account and keep you signed in across sessions.
· To save and restore your portfolio, watchlist, and projection settings.
· To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the product.
We never sell your data. We never share your personal data with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers. Data is used solely to provide you with the service.
3. Data Storage & Security
Account and portfolio data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase, a SOC 2 Type II certified platform, on servers located in the European Union. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS). Market data displayed on the site is provided by Financial Modeling Prep and is delayed up to 15 minutes. StockManTools does not store market data permanently beyond a short-term cache for performance.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We do not use tracking cookies. We use browser localStorage to remember your UI preferences (such as whether the email widget has been dismissed and your currency selection). This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers. Google Analytics sets its own anonymous cookies as described in the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
· Right to access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
· Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
· Right to erasure — you can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings, or by emailing us. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
· Right to portability — you can request an export of your portfolio and watchlist data.
· Right to object — you can object to data processing by not signing in; all core features are available without an account.

6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data (email address, display name, portfolio, watchlist) is permanently deleted immediately. Anonymous analytics data retained by Google Analytics follows Google's standard retention policy.
7. Third-Party Services
StockManTools relies on the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:
· Google Sign-In — authentication only (Google Privacy Policy).
· Google Analytics — anonymized usage statistics (Google Privacy Policy).
· Supabase — database hosting (Supabase Privacy Policy).
· Financial Modeling Prep — market data API (FMP Privacy Policy).
We do not share your personal data with any of these services beyond what is technically necessary for the service to function (e.g. your email is not sent to FMP).
8. Google API Services
StockManTools' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
9. Children's Privacy
StockManTools is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we will make reasonable effort to notify signed-in users.
